Came here on a whim before a concert at alpine valley. Omg. What a gem. The food is fantastic with a huge selection. I had Mexican and the wife had a burger. All of it was awesome. Shout out to Kaylee our server!! She is great. This is our new stop before concerts at Alpine valley. If you're in the area you need to stop here.
You can't visit the Midwest and not go to a Friday night fish fry! So after getting picked up from MKE out group headed to Lucky Star to eat some fried fish. We arrived around 5:30p on a Friday and our group of six was seated right away. All of us ordered the fish fry. Appreciate that it comes with soup or salad along with your choice of side. The portions were large and the food was tasty. Make sure to check in on Yelp and get your free fried ice cream. I don't think many people do that because our server had to check with her manager to see if they could honor the coupon. They did and the fried ice cream was a cool experience.
Our waitress was great, the food was delicious and the coffee was perfect. We had breakfast , I would recommend the Mediterranean skillet and my friend had eggs with sausage and pancakes which he enjoyed.
Super fast and ultra friendly service in this fun, popular restaurant. Huge menu with selections for everyone. We'd like to see a few more vegetarian options, but so far my hubs will let us go here, sometimes multiple times per week. The food is well-prepared and delicious. But the serving staff is what makes the Lucky Star shine. They are all about making sure your visit is fantastic. Love this place. Lots of free parking. Cute antique decor.
four and a half stars really... knocking off that half star bc i only give 5 full stars to complete standout/shout from the rooftop places. everything was good here - service, ambiance, food. the menu covers it all - mexican and tex mex plus all the margaritas and cocktails. really no complaints! the food is good, again nothing memorable but good enough to spread the word. our server was extremely attentive and personable and food came out fast. this is definitely not a typical mexican restaurant - it really is a pub with mexican food... with a bit of biker bar feel ;) lots of character!

Omg, this place is such a gem! We have been missing that pre-pandemic, restaurant feel. This place offers everything you hope for when you go out for dinner: great service, fully staffed with people who actually make you feel welcomed, amazing food, what more can you ask for?! Plus, when we were being walked to our table, we heard the kitchen staff and servers talking about actual work and no one was in the corner on their phone. Our server Becca and her co-workers Brent and Wyatt really made this place stand out for us. Becca, thank you for being so welcoming and fun! Brent, thank you for calling me out for staring at you because you looked familiar. That was hysterical! Wyatt, thank you for filling my drink for me when you brought out our appetizer! It was something you could have easily ignored but didn't. Just exceptional!
